    Monday
    Old-school gamers will go mad for Mario at the Once Upon A Console: Mario Kart 64 Tournament hosted by Upstairs at the Ritzy. Entry to the Ritzy’s first ever games night is only £2 and it costs nothing to watch. Starts 7pm.

    Tuesday The Grosvenor pub presents its weekly affair, the Legendary Not-So-Easy Pub Quiz. Get down early for an  8pm start, and bring your brain with you!

    Wednesday  Another Somerleyton consultation workshop. Tonight is the health, education and culture workshop, 7pm-8.30pm at the Lambeth Volunteer Centre.

    Thursday For the active among you, pop along to the Rec today and try out one of their cheap and usually excellent classes – on Thursday, they offer aerobics at 10.30am, group cycle at 6.15pm and pilates at 7.15pm.

    Friday Every Friday night, Plan B brings urban pop and hip hop to Brixton Road at their Bump night. For £7 before 11pm you can party the night away until 4am. Before that, you can pick up your very own copy of the May Brixton Bugle, hot off the press. We’ll be at Brixton tube station from 7.30am until 9am.

    Saturday Brixton Station Road Community Market will be hosting an extravaganza of culinary delight. The Great Brixton Bake-Off II  showcases the best that local bakers have to offer. 6 categories will be judged including cakes, cupcakes, biscuits & bites, savouries, bread and vegan cake, with one winner from each category. Judges include Levi Roots (of Reggae Reggae Sauce fame), Miss Cupcake, Victor Scalzo from Patisserie Valerie, the Mayor of Lambeth and Stacey from Morleys. 10am – 5pm. Blog editor Tim Dickens will also be helping out with a fun children’s workshop from 10am until midday.

    Sunday April 28 Enjoy a classic Sunday roast at Mango Landin’ with live jazz to play you through your meal. 2pm to 5pm.
