A young woman was treated for smoke inhalation after escaping a fire in a flat in Brixton.
The fire brigade was called to the building, in St James Crescent, at 12.25pm today. Twenty firefighters attended the scene, including crews from Clapham, West Norwood, Lambeth, and Old Kent Road fire stations.
The blaze was under control by 1pm, and there were no other reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
