Brixton football club has paraded through Lambeth on an open-top bus to celebrate winning eight titles this season.
The Lambeth Tigers club, re-formed in 2010, works with more than 200 children from Coldharbour and Vassall wards and aims to “give them direction” though club guidance and mentoring.
This year the under-9, under-11 and under-12 teams all won both their leagues and knockout cups, the under-10 squad won their cup and the under-12s even took home the London Cup.
They are pictured here parading through sunny Brixton with their trophy haul last month.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Many young people in Vassall and Coldharbour wards live in acute deprivation with low educational attainment and high levels of youth unemployment.
“The Lambeth Tigers initiative has been highly successful in engaging hard-to-reach youth with local grassroots networks across these wards.”
