The Guardian featured a piece yesterday about the breakfast club run by Hill Mead Primary School, Brixton. It was set up in order to mitigate against children coming into school hungry when they are not fed breakfast at home. A Guardian survey has found that almost half of all teachers have brought food in for pupils when they arrive with empty stomachs.
