Ossie’s Fresh Ginger Beer is a locally-produced drink now served in many central Brixton restaurants. Lilith Ragana, Ossie’s partner and co-producer of the Ginger Beer, gives her recipe for a simple stirfry with a gingery twist

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 small chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 carrot, cut in strips
4 baby sweetcorn, cut in strips
8 mangetout
1 red pepper, sliced
3 tablespoons of Ossie’s Fresh Ginger
150g pack straight to wok noodles
1. Heat the oil and sauté garlic and chicken.
2. Add the soy sauce and carrot, baby sweetcorn, mangetout and pepper. Stir fry for around 10 minutes until lightly browned and the chicken is cooked.
3. Add noodles then slowly pour Ossie’s Fresh Ginger and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
3. Serve garnished with fresh herbs.
