Brixton storm damage in pictures

Despite forecasters warning of a “stormageddon” to hit southern England overnight, it wasn’t quite as bad as we may have thought.

The winds were pretty fierce, however, and Lambeth council said 40 trees were blown over across the borough.

  1. Not surprising the photos are all about trees as the incompetent Lambeth Council has had for some time an – I can’t be bothered – policy regarding pruning and maintaining trees. I only hope that the insurance companies come for them, or at least do a thorough investigation into whether the fallen trees could have been prevented by correct maintenance. Hopefully that might send the wake up call, where my endless phone calls to them seem to have failed.
