It’s still too early for us, but if you’re starting to think about gifts, head for Downstairs at the Department Store on Ferndale Road this weekend for Black Culture Market’s Black History Month event.
It’s open from 11am to 5pm on both Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October.
Organisers say the market and its 40-plus traders will have something for everyone and that it supports emerging entrepreneurs and new Black businesses run by people of African and Caribbean.
On offer will be food, drinks, gifts, cards, art, jewellery, male grooming kits, skincare, clothes, accessories and more.
Entry is a free, but pre-registration is necessary.
