Fraudster James Bennett, 32, of no fixed abode, was today (15 December) jailed for six years in his absence. He had been found guilty of 17 counts of fraud at Inner London Crown Court on Wednesday (13 December).
He obtained more than £10,000 by conning prospective tenants out of deposits for flats, including one in Brixton, that he had no right to let.
A warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear in court.
