The Clink Charity has launched a special Christmas range from The Clink Bakery in Brixton prison.
Proceeds will go towards the charity’s work to reduce re-offending
You can buy the special baked goods from The Clink Charity website.
They include traditional mince pies and Christmas puddings, as well as two types of luxury hamper – all baked within the walls of HMP Brixton by The Clink’s patisserie trainers and students.
The bakery supplies Clink charity restaurants and events venues with artisanal baked goods. It supports students to train, qualify, find accommodation and secure employment opportunities once they are released from prison.
“We’ve worked with our students to create a range of traditional Christmas products that we hope will appeal to people who want to support a worthwhile cause while enjoying and sharing something delicious,” said Simon McKinnon-Brahams, the Clink Charity’s national customer operations manager.
“We believe there is a strong appeal at Christmastime for socially conscious gift buying and the work we do at The Clink relies heavily on the belief that people in prison are passionate about changing their lives and choosing a different path.”
