If you’re local to Brixton and passionate about sport, from Football to Fencing, we want to hear from you.
Here at Brixton Blog HQ we’re always looking for new members of the team, and right now we’re in need of brilliant sports writers and reporters to boost our coverage online and in print in the Brixton Bugle.
As a volunteer contributor you’ll come up with ideas for new content and coverage of all things active. We’re particularly looking to report more games from local football, basketball, netball, cricket and schools sports fixtures, as well as south London’s more obscure sports.
In addition to writing, maybe you could put together short video or audio packages to publish on the Blogs highly engaged audience. We get an average of 110,000 page views per month, and print 10,000 newspapers, so whatever you produce promises to get seen.
We’re looking for:
- Sports enthusiast
- Talented writer
- Able to read a sports match and summarise the fixture with short, compelling copy
- Have a good nose for a story
- Able to contribute an article at least once a month
- Able to spend time at weekends to attend and report on fixtures
