Our favourite blend of country fair and reggae is fast approaching – and Lambeth Country Show has now revealed its line-up for the main stage.
Sharing the stage will be Afro-pop legends Osibisa; 1990s club anthem diva Alison Limerick; Madness saxophonist Lee Thompson’s Ska Orchestra; and Jamaican roots-reggae veteran Max Romeo.
This the 39th Lambeth Country Show – and is to be held on 20th & 21st July in Brockwell Park.
Brixton-based afrobeat-reggae squadron Soothsayers will also perform with falsetto vocalist Cornel Campbell, while Manasseh Sound System and Natty – who promises ‘roots music with a twist’ – complete a sterling vanguard of roots and reggae for the weekend.
The weekend will once again see around 180,000 people flock to Brockwell Park for a weekend of organic cider, jerk chicken, sheepdogs, medieval jousting, fairground rides and pumping reggae. We can’t wait.
We’ll also be starting a community petition to the sun shortly, asking for its cooperation in shining all weekend. See you there!
