The owner of a five-year-old cat missing since last Wednesday has launched a heartfelt plea for help to find him.
Shibs, a black mog with a white front paw, disappeared from his home in Gately Road, near Brixton Academy last Wednesday and has not been seen since.
His owner, Keith Hamilton, has put up scores of posters and put flyers through the doors of surrounding streets.
He told the Blog: “I don’t know what I’d do without him. We only moved to the area three weeks ago and I kept Shibs inside, but last week I thought he’d got used to the area, so I let him out, but I haven’t seen hime since.”
Hamilton added: “Shibbs is a cat who has the run of his own area, but he could be anywhere. In the past he may have gone off for a couple of days but he has always come back, until now.”
The cat-lover said he originally bought the feline as a present for his mother, but she sadly died shortly afterwards and he has cared for Shibbs himself for five years.
