Little Wing Film Festival 2020

Little Wing Film Festival is a UK grassroots film festival for students, graduates, and emerging filmmakers. With support from the BFI, Mayor of London, and BBC Films, they work to create more sustainable and accessible opportunities for young people emerging into the film industry through opportunity pathways and prizes that facilitate future projects and foster career growth.

This week sees the beginning of their festival, a week-long film programme from September 21st to 27th.

Included in the line up is We The People, a documentary about the past, present, and future of activism in Brixton, created by young activists encouraging an intergenerational dialogue about the area. The film, We The People, is brought to life by the Advocacy Academy, Museum of London, and the Arts Council.

As well as We The People, there are many films from talented young people that explore contemporary issues covering everything from youth activism, to trans-identity and British town deprivation.

The online festival films are released daily to be watched in your own time. There is an accompanying array of free events, speakers, and interviews throughout the week for everyone to enjoy.

Supporter tickets to view the films are £5, however the team at Little Wing Film Festival are offering free tickets to anyone who needs them and is finding finances a barrier in the current climate. Browse the programme here.

Little Wings Film Festival is run by young people, for young people, championing inclusivity and sustainability in the industry.
