The new “Your Party” left-wing movement which has seen 750,000 people sign up for information, is organising a meeting in Brixton on Thursday 11 September.
Described as “a public meeting on building a new left party in our borough”, it will be at the Advocacy Academy headquarters in Brixton Rec – entrance on Beehive Place – from 7 to 9pm, and will feature local speakers, guests and workshops
“Come together with special guests, residents, trade unionists and campaigners to share priorities and start shaping the future of our party in Lambeth,” say the organisers.
Launched in July, “Your Party” led by MPs Zarah Sultana and former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, says it will soon come together at an inaugural founding conference. “We want the founding process as open, inclusive, and accessible as possible,” it adds.
