This is my first time pay a quick visit at here and i
am truly pleassant to read everthing at alone place.
Bring it on! All we had for years was a Tesco whose monopoly has enabled it to provide a pitiful service and treat its customers with near contempt. I am longing for the new Sainsburys about to open at the top of Effra Road and welcome the announcement of a new Morrisons on Acre Lane
The new Sainsbury’s in Tulse Hill might also make the Tesco Express afew hundred yards further up on Tulse Hill buck up its ideas and customer focus. The queues in that store are horrendous and they never have all the tills open. You are lucky if more than 3 are operating, even at peak times. The queue can get longer and all the staff do is continue to unpack cages of produce onto the shelves. Also what grates is that Tesco gives priority to those purchasing fuel. Why does it need to do this? Because the tills are not operating fully, so if priority we’re not given to fuel buyers then it would be crazy on the forecourt with cars waiting their turn for fuel. Ironic as the fuel is from Esso so basically Tesco is giving priority to those profiting another company. Tesco Tulse Hill will just become a petrol station when the new Sainsbury’s opens unless they get their act together and place Tesco customers at the front of their ethos and service.
I don’t know if this is better or worse than the Duke of Wellington, with it’s crackhouse at the back, and it’s shootings.
Great, I love Morrisons, my favourite!!
That will make it 3 supermarkets in a relatively short stretch of Acre Lane – Tesco, Lidl, and Morrisions.
Don’t forget there’s Costcutter there too.
Another big supermarket! All we need now is Asda and we have covered all bases to suck the life out of local shops & Markets.
Wish it was a Waitrose
But Lidl is German Waitrose!
Great News.
An alternative to Tesco and Sainsburys.
