Stop Starving Gaza protest at town hall

Scores of pots and pans protesters demonstrated for an hour outside Lambeth town hall in Brixton yesterday (1 August).

The great actor Vanessa Redgrave was in the crowd that frequently won approving honks from passing drivers.

The protest was part of a day of action – Stop Starving Gaza – organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) in towns and cities across the UK.

“We must keep the pressure up,” said the PSC, “as we once more lay down pots and pans to represent those starved to death by Israel’s genocidal blockade and demand our politicians take action to end Israel’s starvation of Gaza.

Lambeth campaigners also called for Lambeth council to divest its pension fund of enterprises linked to the Israel regime.
