See off the evil spirits at Brixton Windmill

Honour your ancestors, confront the unknown, seek spiritual inspiration and ward off evil spirits that can cross into the world of the living at Halloween – Samhain if you are a Celt.

The festival once marked a point in the year when the veil between the living and the passed was at its thinnest and also the end of harvest – so there are few more appropriate places to celebrate it in Brixton than our Windmill that will mark Halloween on Sunday 26 October from 1 to 4pm with a free family event in Windmill Gardens.

Enjoy …

  • A lantern carving workshop – make a traditional pumpkin lantern. £3 per pumpkin. Children must be aged at least seven and must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Spooky stories for children (five to 11) inside the windmill at 1.30 and 2.45pm. This is a drop-in with a sign-up sheet on the day.
  • Halloween arts and crafts with drop-in activity inside Brixton Windmill Centre.

The Windmill’s shop and cafe will be open.
