Chris Salewicz, author of Redemption Song, the biography of Joe Strummer, the man behind the Clash, will talk about his friend and his book at Brixton library on Friday 23 May.

Salewicz was senior features writer for the NME from 1975 to 1981 and a friend of Strummer’s for over 25 years.

Drawing on more than 300 interviews with family, friends and associates, Redemption Song is a comprehensive and compelling insight into the front man for the most influential band of its generation, known for anthems like Guns of Brixton.
