The first exhibition at the new Space to Dream children’s gallery in Brixton Village’s Granville Arcade is Dreams.
Billed as the UK’s first permanent children’s art gallery, Space to Dreamcelebrates local artists aged five to16 with a curated selection of works which opens on Saturday 13 September (noon to 6pm).
The gallery says it will provide “a unique platform for a new generation of artists to share their perspectives on the world”.
Painting, drawing, 3D work, and photography will be on show exploring a range of themes, from surreal and emotional landscapes to daydreams and nightmares.

Space to Dream Gallery is founded on the belief that art plays a vital role in the development of young minds, say owners Fran and Morgane.
The exhibition not only celebrates their creativity but also aims to build confidence and inspire others to explore their own artistic talents, they say.
“A vibrant kaleidoscope of youthful vision and artistry,” it invites viewers to step into the worlds of these emerging creators and connect with their stories, colours, and joy.
The free exhibition will be on view until Friday 24 October.
