Brockwell Hall hosts ‘community celebration’

Brockwell Park will host another event this July in the shape of All Gone South, billed as an art and music fair.

Taking place at the refurbished Brockwell Hall from noon to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday 26 and 27 July, it promises DJs on a main stage; art; shopping; and food and drink. Entry is free.

Described as “a celebration dedicated to supporting local artists and strengthening community engagement through the arts”, the event is organised by the Brixton Art Club.

It says that, over two days, visitors can expect soulful house, jazz-funk, R&B, Afro house, drum & bass, hip-hop, rare groove, reggae, amapiano, house, and disco, with DJs on both days from noon to 8pm.

Saturday is billed as “Fantastic Femmes” with Afro Chick, Beavs, Salha, Emma the DJ, and Winks.

Sundy is Vinyl Revival with Gordon Mac MBE, Normski, Bert Bevans, Craig Williams, Kenny Charles, Linden C, Junior, Dirty Cheeks, Neil Charles, Si Kurrage, and Dope Smugglers.

Other promised attractions include: craft stalls, vintage clothing, children’s workshops, street food, face painting, jewellery, an art exhibition, a cocktail bar, performance art, and live music, with more to be announced.
