There is no need to go to the seaside for thrills as summer starts at the end of May – they are coming to us in the form of Catch of the Day, a new production from The Dot Collective, whose aerial acrobatics in Dream Sequence wowed audiences at Brixton Windmill last year.
The seaside is a place where community unites the locals and people down for a jolly day in the sun.
One local, a fisherman, has some fresh lobsters to sell, little does he know that these are not any lobsters, these are Lobster Quadrillel obsters, who are ready to dance back to the sea.
On Saturday 31 May The Windmill will host performances of Catch of the Day in Windmill Gardens at 11am and 2pm. Tickets: £14 / £12 / £10 and free for under-threes.

Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and performed by professional aerial actors (Glastonbury/The Royal Opera House) it is a story of wonder and nonsense laced with lethal wit, of games, riddles and conundrums, of questions with no right answers, but, above all, of magic and adventure in which you could be the highest bidder for the lobsters.
There will be an opportunity after the show for the audience to have a go at sitting and swinging on the aerial silks.

The Windmill says the Dot Collective’s adaptation is for all ages andabilities and has been developed to be accessible to all, including people living with dementia and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
Bring a picnic blanket or camping chair – you are welcome to bring a picnic too.
The Windmill’s licensed café will be open for drinks and snacks.
The show is suitable for everyone aged four and upwards.
For those unable to sit on a blanket or without a camping chair, there will be a few chairs on hand – these will be supplied on a first come first served basis, so arrive early if you would like to use one.
The show will continue unless there is extreme weather (high winds or thunder/lightning).
The Windmill says assistance and dwell-behaved dogs, which must be kept on a lead at all times, are welcome.
Online bookings ends at midnight on Friday 30 May (There may be tickets available on the day but there is no guarantee of this).
