BRIXTON HAS ENGLAND’s best CHIPPIE

Fish Lounge on Brixton Hill is England’s best fish and chip restaurant according to customer reviews analysed by the bookmaker Betway.

The bookie looked at reviews on social media giants Tripadvisor, Google and Instagram. and two came out on top.

One, East Coast, is in Musselburgh near Edinburgh in Scotland, the other is Fish Lounge.

Ülgin and Gus Mustafa have been serving their contented customers there for eight years.

Gus was born in Lewisham to Turkish Cypriot parents and learned his trade from his dad who had his first fish and chip shop in Clapton, East London.

Ülgin, a native of Cyprus, met Gus through family friends and came to London when they married.

The couple are happy with their business as it is and have no current plans to expand.
