“Grab-and-go” sushi brand YouMeSushi is offering a free chicken katsu rice hot bowl (usual price £11.95) – its most popular dish – to the first 100 customers at its new Brixton branch when it opens on Friday 25 April.

YouMeSushi, founded in Marylebone in 2008, has grown from a single neighbourhood sushi bar to a chain with 25 branches across the UK, several of them in London.

It says its menu offers something for everyone – “from beautifully fresh salmon and tuna sashimi and generously filled poke bowls, to comforting hot dishes like the ever-popular teriyaki chicken rice and warming chicken gyoza ramen.”

For sushi lovers, its signature rolls include the dragon roll or the crunch cali roll, with vegan options like the tofu teriyaki donburi.

Each piece of sushi is handmade fresh dailuy, “ensuring maximum flavour and the highest quality in every bite,” says YouMeSushi.

The new Brixton site is at 401 Brixton Road, SW9 7DG, near the junction with Beehive Place. It has indoor seating for up to 15 people.
