Lambeth Country Show feels the heat

The first Lambeth Country show since 2019 got off to a rousing start yesterday (16 July) with the Brixton Chamber Orchestra opening the main stage by continuing its ground-breaking collaborations with local rappers and other artists.

They were joined by singers Anna-Lena Delga, Victoria Gold, and Miss Moresha, and rappers CHOZE, MegaMikes, Idris Miles, and Duppy.

Forecast high temperatures and strong sun put a premium on shade in Brockwell Park and some events, including sheepdog demonstrations, were altered to protect the animals involved.

They also made an early visit to Lambeth Horticultural Society’s vegetable sculptures advisable as the creations felt the heat.
