Jack Blackburn’s portraits reflect many different and contrasting approaches. Cubism and comic books appear in his work ranging from the grotesque to the realistic – each one packed with emotional drama. And his bold primary colours and sure-footed technique make for a real visual punch. This promises to be a really interesting show. Go and see it if you can.
