Brixton House (formerly known as Ovalhouse) is a modern theatre in the heart of Brixton which opens later this year. It will be a place for people to come together, to create and enjoy performances and to learn and share skills. It will enable a new generation of creative people to stage new experiences which develop community strength and promote social change.
Brixton House announced today the inaugural 10 Associate Artists who will work with the new venue over its first two years. The aim is to encourage these artists to take an active role in the growth and development of Brixton House, as well as furthering their own creative skills.
The artists are drawn from a wide range of disciplines and include writers, performers, directors, composers and film-makers.
