Tongue Ties – Theatre Peckham’s new event

On Friday, Theatre Peckham presents a one-day showcase event exploring cultural ties, migration, rites of passage, and associated feelings of being ‘tongue tied.’

The event is being delivered by Theatre Peckham’s Young Producers, the next generation of Black artists, curators, organisers and promoters who are being trained in putting on productions.

Audiences will be taken on a journey through the venue to explore what culture means to them through poetry, playwriting, short films, photography and visual arts.

A short bus ride from Brixton, Theatre Peckham is an award-winning cultural hub for artistic excellence and social change, and home to creative learning and performance. At the heart of Theatre Peckham’s success is its commitment to diversity and inclusivity. The venue is Covid-secure and follows the latest government guidance for live arts events.

The event is on Friday 21 May in Theatre Peckham, 221 Havil Street, London, SE5 7SD

It runs for one hour Covid-secure slots between 2pm and 9pm. Tickets from £5.
