The pop-up is part of Selfridges’ Good Nature project.

The idea is centred around connecting with the joy of nature, and a more sustainable future.

The items are all handmade in London and encourage shopping small.

There are 14 sellers.

All the small businesses there have exclusive products on offer.

Opening times are 10am to 9pm, and 11:30 to 6pm on Sunday.

“We’re popping up for a week in store at Selfridges, with 14 of the most amazing London designers,” Liv and Daisy said.

“It’s a real chance to celebrate creativity and innovation.

“At the beginning of lockdown, our online market format was new territory.

“People really trusted us. We want to say thank you to everyone, our community has been so strong that it’s allowed us to build.

“Small brands being considered luxury is something we’ve been thinking about for the last year.

“Makers who spend months on product development and creating by hand, with all production in the UK and such attention to detail, are absolutely luxury.”

One founder and maker, Scarlett of Kyodai, is very local.

Her accessories are designed and handmade in Brixton.

She also only produces small batches of items and sources locally.

Her Butterscotch collection, as well as bucket hats, is exclusively available.

“I’ve grown up in Brixton. I love Brixton,” she says. “It’s always been a creative hub.

“I get lots of inspiration from everyone’s vibe there.”

“I started thinking about the brand around five years ago.

“I always knew I wanted to do my own brand – working in commercial fashion wasn’t really for me.

“I really wanted to create something that people loved, and was really gorgeous to look at, but sustainable.

“If I’m putting something out into the world, it needs to be really considered.

“With my leathers, I use a lot of offcuts from dead stock. With my fabrics, it’s always biodegradable.

“We have such a fast, throw away culture.

“A lot big brands are just noticing that now and taking their ethos from smaller people.”
