New zero waste shop for Brixton market

Weigh and Pay, a zero-waste supermarket, opened at the weekend in Brixton Village.

It joins Brixton Wholefoods on Atlantic Road since 1982 and Naked Larder and Jarin Herne Hill offering products with minimal or no packaging.

Selling a variety of eco-friendly goods, Weigh and Pay says it will offer a fuss-free route into more sustainable habits that can have a big impact.

You can refill containers, reducing plastic consumption, and weigh out your items so it’s easier to just take what you need.

Weigh and Pay stocks plant-based food, as well as more household and cosmetic items. You might even find a last-minute gift idea!

They don’t just offer a simple way to be more ecological, but also look after the Brixton community by working with producers like Elsa’s Organic and  Suneeta London, which launched in Brixton Village – small businesses that create sustainable beauty products.

You can keep up to date with the store’s goings on via Instagram.

Weigh and Pay at Unit 33 in Brixton Village is open from 10.30am to 6.30pm from Wednesday to Sunday.
