Book Mongers, Brixton’s essential second hand bookshop has launched a “click and collect” website to beat yet another lockdown.

The shop – approaching its 30th year in Brixton – reopened on 15 June with a safe environment, but had to close again as the second lockdown was announced.

Currently on offer is selection of remaindered books, and Book Mongers will also be regularly posting a small selection of “secondhand gems” on its website and Instagram.

Payment can be made securely using PayPal or Visa and books can be collected as soon as you receive an email that your order is ready.

Collection from the Coldharbour Lane shop will be available from 3pm to 6pm seven days a week.

“If you’re looking for a particular secondhand book, please get in touch and we’ll see if we have it in the shop,” said owner Patrick Kelly.

“We’re not currently sending out orders by post, but we’re flexible … Please email or give us a call (020 7738 4225).
