If you make your way over to Bandcamp to buy yourself a copy of this week’s album of the week, you’ll certainly be contributing to two very good causes.

Any proceeds from Live at the Windmill will be split between that much loved, and currently cash strapped, local venue and the Brixton Soup Kitchen.

Great stuff. But that’s not the only reason it’s my album of the week.

Among the 16 bands contributing are some of the most exciting new indie acts to have emerged in recent years.

The collection kicks off with Goat Girl, black midi and Kate Tempest

before veering off into lesser known but equally interesting terrain.
