Something for the kids

Clapham Omnibus theatre is the setting for the latest version of The Little Prince – the fantasy morality tale penned by a French aristocrat in 1943 and now celebrated the world over, writes Leslie Manasseh.

Directed by Marie McCarthy and gamely performed by Comfort Fabian, Vera Chok and Royce Cronin, this magical tale zips along. You can meet the various (updated) characters and their stories – the rose, the fox, the king, the pilot, the birds and the little prince himself – in a seasonal production full of charming silliness.

I went to see it with a crowd of primary school kids. It went down a storm with them and I left with a big smile on my face.

The Little Prince runs until 30 December at the Omnibus Theatre, 1 Clapham Common North Side, SW4 0QW, at 10.30am and 1.30pm on weekdays and 11am and 2pm on weekends. Tickets £10/£8. For further information call 020 7498 4699 or visit www.ominbus-clapham.org
