Brixton Design Trail: the first boat drops anchor!

Edible Bus Stop has joined forces with  Zac Monro Architects, to create Flotilla, a project that creates and uses ‘paper boats’ as a medium for story telling

Flotilla - a paper boat that tells the story of the Windrush Generation using QR codes

The first boat has dropped anchor at the Brixton Design Trail 2018, as a headline event for the London Design Festival, in Brixton Village’s forecourt on Coldharbour Lane.

The ‘boat’ features a QR trigger that enables you to listen via a dedicated SoundCloud page, to stories of those arriving from the Caribbean, recalling their experiences of their early days in London. The audio was produced by Sixteenfeet Productions & Portobello Radio who provided audio recordings of the Windrush Generation telling their stories
