Brixton Bikehangars get a makeover

Cycle hangers in Railton Road

Two Brixton Bikehangars got a Design Trail makeover from local designers Eley Kishimoto. Cyclehoop, the company that makes them, worked with the designers and Lambeth council to deter graffiti by decorating the hangars.

The council commissioned Eley Kishimoto to cover two hangars in Railton Road with their iconic Connect Brixton pattern. Cyclehoop managing director Anthony Lau joined councillors and residents to unveil them. Lambeth council was the first to order Cyclehoop Bikehangars – 12 were installed in February 2013. There are now 215 Bikehangars across the borough providing 1,290 spaces.
