Want to get in to drawing but find life drawing and naked people a bit too daunting? Or want to learn something new as you relax with friends over a drink? Then join our alternative drawing class: Drink and Draw. For anyone of any ability. BYOB. £15. 7.30pm to 8pm.

WEDS 13 @ EFFRA SPACE
Brixton National Childbirth Trust have set up a weekly breastfeeding cafe where mums can drop in for free support and information from qualified NCT breastfeeding counsellors. There is only one NHS milk spots in Brixton – so a real lack of support for Brixton mums which NCT is hoping to fill.  Everyone is welcome – it’s at Effra Space, 21 Effra Parade SW2 1PX, Wednesdays from 12:45-2:45pm.

THURS 14 @ RITZY
To celebrate Hollywood getting its act together and casting an ALL FEMALE SUPER CREW, Massive Arms are hosting a plug and play extravaganza. There will be a Female DJ Relay, open mic showcase, and giiirllll power anthems all night. Free. 8pm – Midnight.

SAT 16 @ POP BRIXTON`
NZ Cellar are set to hold a wine festival in Pop Brixton and will feature street food pairings from some of Pop’s top traders including Kricket, Made of Dough and Zoe’s Ghana kitchen. They’ve also planned some fun wine-related activities, a ‘bubbles bath’ and wine matching masterclass sessions headlined by wine personalities including Joe Wadsack, Jane Parkinson, Peter McCombie, Nigel Greening (Felton Rd) and many more. £20. 11am to 4pm.

SAT 16 & SUN 17 @ BROCKWELL PARK

SAT 16 & SUN 17 @ BRIXTON JAMM
Are you a gin lover? Brixton Gin Fest offers attendee a wide variety of “all things gin”. There will be 50 + types of gin to taste, a huge selection of gin cocktails, street food vendors serving a variety of worldly cuisine, trade stands selling gin goodies and live DJs all day and night. £10 to £17. 4pm to 8pm in three sittings across the weekend.
