    Monday 8 February: Why not start the week with a free exhibition? Laurent Seksik and Fabrice Le Hananff’s graphic novel Modigliani is being exhibited at the Carnegie Library in Herne Hill throughout February. Not opens Tuesdays or Sundays. Free.

    Tuesday 9: To celebrate Shrove Tuesday why not head to Senzala in Brixton Market? This Brazilian creperie offers a huge variety of pancake fillings from savoury to sweet or try one of their famous galettes, made from gluten-free buckwheat. Open 10am to 10pm. Pancakes from £4 to £9.

    Wednesday 10: Floating Points sees Sam Shepherd performing at Electric Brixton with an 11-piece orchestra. His day job is studying for a neuroscience PhD. There’s a big demand for tickets, but also an extra date on Thursday 11. 7pm to 11pm. £15.

    Thursday 11: Motown, Stax and Atlantic lover? Visit Blues Kitchen to hear Soul Sacrifice. Music 10pm until midnight. Free entry, book a table for drinks.

    Friday 12: Jamm hosts the official launch party for Circles with two rooms of music – Room 1 will have strictly D’n’B. Room 2 will have no rules. Performers will include Alix Perez, Technimatic, DJ Die, Hutch and James Rail. 10pm to 6am. £12.

    Friday 12: Head down to The Ritzy for a Zoolander 2 party with a David Bowie takeover, fashion show, a live performance from Phoenix Fagbutt and face painting.

    Saturday 13: So Solid Crew haven’t gone away you know, they will make a rare performance with a DJ set featuring Lisa Maffia and Romeo at Groove Control’s Valentine’s Ball at Electric Brixton. Others on the bill include Artful Dodger, Oxide and Neurtrino, Larry Sun, DJ Ramsay and Slim Mike. 10pm to 6am. £20.

    Sunday 14: Rootmaster presents Future Groove’s Valentine’s Day Special at Hootanany with some serious Brixton-sourced beats, brass, melodies and date friendly music. With DJ Claudia Wilson, DJ Chief Commander and YAABA. 9pm to midnight. Free before 11pm, £2 after.
