    Monday 11 January: The first Restart Party of the year is at the Brixton Pound’s pop-up store on Atlantic Road. They will be fixing electronics – slow laptops, broken printers, smartphones, coffee grinders, you name it – and also promoting local repair businesses. 6 pm to 9 pm.

    Wednesday 13: Get your dancing shoes on for a swing night with a live band at the Blues Kitchen. Until 12 pm.

    Thursday 14: Jon Newman of Lambeth Archives presents a talk on ‘Black people in Lambeth’s 18th-century parish registers’ at the Black Cultural Archives, exploring the histories of the small black community who arrived long before the Windrush generation. Free but booking is essential. 6 pm to 7.30 pm.

    Friday 15: 45 Years is a moving portrait of a marriage shaken to its core by things left unsaid. At Whirled Cinema. £12 for a weekly pass. 8.30 pm.

    Sunday 17: Popular comedy club at Dee Dee’s Jazz and Funk with Junior Booker and guests. Free. From 7 pm.
