Here’s the lowdown on what to expect…

Headlining the night is the intriguingly named One Man Destruction Show. The Fat Whites’ Adam J Harmer’s solo act promises to be an energetic performance, and his genre description of rock & roll/garage/sentimental childishness/blues demands further investigation.

Accomplished singer-songwriter Molly Smitten-Downes also joins the line up, most recently recognised for representing the UK in the 2014 Eurovision song contest. She has also supported Bombay Bicycle Club and played at Glastonbury as part of the emerging talent competition.

Originally from Bristol, London-based musician Rob Bravery brings his unique vocal styling to the stage. With the imminent release of first album ‘Esque’ due, he has also received critical acclaim for the powerful and melodic single ‘Knock Out Ginger’.

British-Portugese singer Bernando adds her powerfully soulful voice to the proceedings. Having previously worked with Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music fame, her musical CV is already impressive.

Describing his music as atmospheric soundscapes blended with piano-synth melancholia and fragile electronics Wennink promises to bring something a little different to the line up.

Alexander Ellis joins the Laid Bare line up again as Our Man In The Field. His last performance at Brixton East in June saw the release of his EP ‘And Over to Our Man in the Field’. He has also enjoyed regular airplay on BBC6music and he sites the contrasting environments of the north east coast and London’s skyline as being a major influences in his song writing.

A previous contributor to Laid Bare and The Lantern Society nights, Chris Belson brings his own brand of acoustic folk to Brixton East on guitar and vocals. His recently released single, ‘The Planet’s Align’, has also been played by Tom Robinson on BBC6music.

The doors open at 7pm and the performances are on two floors of this stunningly individual building. For more information please visit the Laid Bare website laidbarelive.com.
