More amazing pictures from Lambeth Country Show

Our writer and photographer Petra Gent says Lambeth Country Show was a weekend for everyone to enjoy, but it was the music that really made it.

When I arrived early on Saturday afternoon the festival was already in full flow with thousands of locals and Londoners enjoying another weekend of gorgeous sunshine in Brockwell Park, which hosted the popular free South London event.

With two stages to provide the weekend’s platform for the musical performers, the visitors were entertained with plenty of soul, dance and DJing as well as choral performances and a day of roots based music on the Sunday.

There was also an impressive variety of food and drinks stalls, a crafts area and a food hall with some delicious baked goods, jousting, a livestock show and camel racing.

We were also given plenty of opportunities to involved in sports activities as well as an array of fairground rides to enjoy.

It was truly a weekend with something for everyone.

It was the music that really did it for me though.

My two stand out acts were Beat Alliance opening the show with an incredible drumming performance and the Atlantic Soul Orchestra – who got the whole field jiggling to their soul sounds.
