On Tuesday, March 10, police also seized crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis, along with £7,000 cash, as part of the raids.

They were the result of an operation led by the Trident Central Gangs Unit to target gang members involved in drug offences in Brixton.

Police raided a number of premises, including a car wash on Coldharbour Lane, which were frequented by gang members when supplying drugs.

A 51-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Two men, 42 and 36, were arrested for conspiracy to supply drugs and possession of Class A with intent to supply and have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Stuart McNaughton from the Trident Central Gangs Unit said: “Drug dealing and the violence that comes with it harms communities, creating a culture of fear for those living and working in the area and taking drug dealers and drugs off our streets remains a priority for us”.
