The community consultation has begun for the new campus at Lambeth College on Brixton Hill.

An exhibition will be held to give people the opportunity to see the plans for the site, meet the project team and give feedback on the proposals.

The consultation will be held at Lambeth College, Brixton Hill, on Thursday March 26, between 2 pm and 7.30 pm, and Saturday 28 March, between 11 am and 3 pm.

In 2013, Lambeth College campus was sold to the Department for Education for around £18 million.

The plans are to improve the current facilities at Lambeth College, which will continue to operate on a reduced site, and for new classrooms and facilities for Trinity Academy, the free school which opened in September 2014.

The campus will also provide a home to the South Bank Engineering UTC, a vocational school for teenagers between 14 and 18, which is planned to open in 2016.

The project team is led by Bowmer & Kirkland, appointed by the Education Funding Agency (EFA) to oversee the design, planning and construction of the new campus.

Following the consultation, a planning application is expected to be submitted to Lambeth council later in the year.
