Win a T-shirt from the Brixton Pound!

BrixPoundLooking to wear your love of Brixton on your sleeve? You can now get your hands on these great Brixton Pound T-shirts.

They were created by Jude de Berker, one of the co-founders of The Turpentine, a Brixton-based creative hub, and inspired by the artwork used on paper B£s.

Brixton Pound says the T-shirts are true to the independent currency’s values: the organic cotton material is ethically traded and carbon neutral.

Brixton Pound was launched in 2009 as the first local currency in an urban area in the UK.

It is designed to stick to Brixton, encouraging people to shop at independent businesses, build community connections, and ask people to consider what money is.

The T-shirts are on sale at The Turpentine, 433 Coldharbour Lane. They are also available online at The Turpentine’s and Brixton Pound’s websites.

Bugle readers have a chance to win a B£/The Turpentine T-shirt simply by answering this question:

Who designed the paper Brixton Pounds which inspired the T-shirts?

Send your answers to info@brixtonpound.org with the subject line ‘Bugle Competition’, or via social media: @brixtonpound on Twitter, The Brixton Pound on Facebook, with hashtag #brixtontshirts.

All correct answers will take part in a draw, and two lucky Bugle readers will receive the T-shirt of their choice. Get on it before everyone else does!
