Police are looking to trace Duncan Stewart, 33, who is a serving prisoner who escaped from a mental health facility in Landor Road, Brixton, yesterday.
Stewart was last seen at 3.25pm as he walked away from the hospital. He is known to have links to the Croydon area.
He is serving a prison sentence for robbery. The public are advised not to approach Stewart directly, but if they know where he is to call 999.
