Man left unconcious by vicious attack as he queued at KFC in Brixton

ATTACK: Police want to speak to this man in connection with the assault in KFC, Brixton, on May 18

Police in Lambeth are appealing for help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with a ‘violent and unprovoked’ assault in KFC.

A 35-year-old man was punched to the ground by his an attacker as he queued in KFC, by the junction with Coldharbour Lane on Brixton Road, in the early hours of May 18.

The victim, who was knocked unconcious and suffered a broken nose and a cut lip, was taken to Kings College Hospital by ambulance.  The suspect left the scene before police arrived.

Today police released a picture, above, of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack.

Detective constable Joe Courtney from Lambeth CID, who is investigating the case said:  “This was a violent and unprovoked assault and I’d appeal for anyone who recognises the man in this CCTV image to get in touch with us to help with our enquiries.”
