A 16-year-old has been charged with the murder of Alim Uddin, 17, who was stabbed to death on a Brixton estate earlier this week.

The teenager was due to appear in Camberwell Magistrates Court today.

Police found Uddin with multiple stab wounds in Tilford House, Holmewood Gardens at 5pm on Sunday.

A post-mortem at Greenwich mortuary found the cause of death to be “multiple incised wounds”.

Uddin’s mother, Parool Uddin, made an emotional plea for action, as her son is the third teenager in the capital to be killed this year.

Police are continuing their appeal for information and ask anyone who believes they may be able to help to contact the incident room on 020 8721 4054 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
