Sudbourne School gets top marks

Sudbourne Primary School has been named one of the UK’s top performing schools in the 2013 primary school performance tables.

David Laws MP, the minister of state for schools, congratulated the school this week on its performances in the national key stage 2 tests, which meant that Sudbourne is now among the top 250 performing schools in the UK. The school on Hayter Road is especially good at helping disadvantaged pupils, supporting so that their results improved markedly between key stage 1 and key stage 2.

Laws sent a letter to headmaster Milan Stevanovic which said: “It is clear that you and your staff have provided your disadvantaged pupils with a good start in life and a strong springboard into secondary education.”
