A leading Brixton sports coach was a runner up at the Team London awards today.

Steadman Scott, who runs the Afewee football club at Brixton Recreation Centre, was one of the five nominees for a community volunteering prize for over-25 year olds in London.

The awards ceremony for London volunteers took place on Monday at City Hall, with prizes presented by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson. The winner of the “my community” category for over 25s was Keith Spiteri, of the 184 Community Drug Service in Camden.
