Brixton Blog Running Club tonight

running shoesIt may be freezing on the streets of Brixton this morning, but that won’t stop Brixton Blog runners from congregating for a short jog around town tonight.*

Anyone is welcome to attend our free running session, leaving from Windrush Square at 7pm tonight (Monday). There will be two groups setting out – one will run up to, and around, Brockwell Park, before returning to the square (6km) while a group of faster runners will head up to the park before heading twice around (9km) before heading back to Windrush a slightly different route.

A blurry phone picture of some of the Brixton runners after the run (sorry to those who were cut out of the shot!)

Last week more than thirty Brixtonites turned up for a short run, and the Blog’s goal is to have a bi-weekly meeting with groups running different routes at different paces.

If you fancy it, just turn up tonight before 7pm, and tell us (and others) that you’re coming on Facebook. If you have any further questions email tim@Brixtonblog.com.

*If there’s snow on the ground, or it’s overly icy, we may cancel the run for safety reasons! See site for updates.

  1. I’m not up to 6km yet but really want to join a friendly local running group… I don’t live far from Brockwell Park – in future, could I join the group when it arrives at Brockwell Park and run with it for the park bit (until I can do 6km!)?
