HERNE HILL ROBBERY: Police appeal after Sainsburys attack

A cashier in Sainsbury’s Local, Herne Hill, was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a violent robbery at the store.

Three suspects walked into the supermarket at 2.55pm yesterday, attacking the staff member before running towards Brixton on Milkwood Road with cash and cigarettes.

According to unconfirmed reports the female victim was strangled during the incident.

Lambeth robbery squad  launched an appeal for information about the attack today.  Anyone with information is urged to call 020 8649 2477.
