UPDATE: Motorcyclists fighting for life after Brixton Road collision

A 17-year-old boy is still fighting for his life in Kings College Hospital major trauma unit  following a collision between his moped and a pedestrian outside Brixton police station.

A pedestrian was also taken to Kings College Hospital following the incident at about 8.45am today, al;though his injuries are described by police as non life-threatening.

Brixton Road has now reopened, but was closed for more than four hours while buses were diverted along Stockwell Road.  London Ambulance Service (LAS) have confirmed that the Air Ambulance crew assisted paramedics at the scene.

LAS  said the 17-year-old boy was taken to Kings College Hospital as a priority with serious head injuries.
